Update!!!:)

Ahhhh! I can't believe I almost went a week! Sorry I was neglecting the blog world!:(

I am home now with my great family! This past weekend my Dad and I drove out to Wausau WI for my first and last sprint races. Saturday was skate sprints and Sunday was classic sprints. I ended up getting 7th for both after a whole morning of qualifiers( I go alone) and heats( I go with 3 other girls all at once).

But, now we have all been running around trying to get our house ready to have my dad's whole side over on Christmas Eve. It ends up being about 25 people!:) Me and Jon who is visiting for a few days went out at 8pm last night to try to get the tree and after 2 places we ended up at Home Depot with a choice of 2 huge trees! So we got the prettier of the two and hauled it home. It turned out really big in our house, but really pretty! At least after 2 hours of letting all the snow melt out of it, which created puddles and puddles of water:P

Next activity is our tradition of having potato sausage for dinner so thats an event in itself. Making that sausage is normally left to my uncle and Dad because it gets to be a tad gross at times.:P
                                               Cousin Madeline and Erika

So after a long night of decorating last night I am in the Christmas mood officially!:)

Luke 2:1-40
In those days a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered. (2) This was the first registration when Quirinius was governor of Syria. (3) And all went to be registered, each to his own town. (4) And Joseph also went up from Galilee, from the town of Nazareth, to Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David, (5) to be registered with Mary, his betrothed, who was with child. (6) And while they were there, the time came for her to give birth. (7) And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in swaddling cloths and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn. (8) And in the same region there were shepherds out in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. (9) And an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were filled with fear. (10) And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of a great joy that will be for all the people. (11) For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. (12) And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.” (13) And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, (14) “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!” (15) When the angels went away from them into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let us go over to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has made known to us.” (16) And they went with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby lying in a manger. (17) And when they saw it, they made known the saying that had been told them concerning this child. (18) And all who heard it wondered at what the shepherds told them. (19) But Mary treasured up all these things, pondering them in her heart. (20) And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, as it had been told them. (21) And at the end of eight days, when he was circumcised, he was called Jesus, the name given by the angel before he was conceived in the womb. (22) And when the time came for their purification according to the Law of Moses, they brought him up to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord (23) (as it is written in the Law of the Lord, “Every male who first opens the womb shall be called holy to the Lord”) (24) and to offer a sacrifice according to what is said in the Law of the Lord, “a pair of turtledoves, or two young pigeons.” (25) Now there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon, and this man was righteous and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him. (26) And it had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he had seen the Lord’s Christ. (27) And he came in the Spirit into the temple, and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him according to the custom of the Law, (28) he took him up in his arms and blessed God and said, (29) “Lord, now you are letting your servant depart in peace, according to your word; (30) for my eyes have seen your salvation (31) that you have prepared in the presence of all peoples, (32) a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and for glory to your people Israel.” (33) And his father and his mother marveled at what was said about him. (34) And Simeon blessed them and said to Mary his mother, “Behold, this child is appointed for the fall and rising of many in Israel, and for a sign that is opposed (35) (and a sword will pierce through your own soul also), so that thoughts from many hearts may be revealed.” (36) And there was a prophetess, Anna, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was advanced in years, having lived with her husband seven years from when she was a virgin, (37) and then as a widow until she was eighty-four. She did not depart from the temple, worshiping with fasting and prayer night and day. (38) And coming up at that very hour she began to give thanks to God and to speak of him to all who were waiting for the redemption of Jerusalem. (39) And when they had performed everything according to the Law of the Lord, they returned into Galilee, to their own town of Nazareth. (40) And the child grew and became strong, filled with wisdom. And the favor of God was upon him.
This is the passage that my grandpa or cousin reads out loud on Christmas Eve. I love reading it, it just brings all the chaos back to what really matters:)

I hope you are all not letting the craziness of this time sweep you up like it did me for a bit. Have a wonderful day! <3

The FINAL monday

Hello great friends! So the past weekend was super busy for me. I had 2 of my first ski races. The first one went great but the second one was not so hot:). Oh well its early in the season still and that the whole part of the sport is learning from each race, seeing what worked and what didn't and using the bad things to make yourself stronger the next time( which is this next weekend:P) But it was super fun with my team this weekend, we had fun getting the van up hills in the blizzard and trying to keep each other laughing as we all attempted to study for are many finals this week. :)

I started my week off with my biggest test of all, my Accounting final. The accounting class that I am in is the reason why people switch their major out of business because they cant pass this class:/ I took my final today and now all we can do is leave it with God. I pray that he doesn't think I need more accounting:)

Beyond all the yucky of finals this week is a BIG JOY! My sister Erika is home tomorrow! And I get to go home to her and my pets on Thursday. Its so close to Christmas I cant wait! I hope you are feeling the Lord surrounding you more then usual, I always feel closer to him. Put all your Joy and Love that he gives you into your days and make them be the best they can be:) Love to you all! I hope you had a great Monday!

On the road again♥☼♥☼♥☼♥☼♥☼♥☼♥☼

Good morning my lovely bloggers:) I hope you are all having a great start to the day!  Today I have my last  classes of the semester and then my ski team ( St. Cloud State) and I are on our way to Ironwood MI for our first weekend of ski races. Being on a collage ski team does not only mean that you are skiing a lot, but you are driving almost just as much. You learn how to sleep in every position possible and how to regulate the heat through out the van making sure that your toes stay thawed, but you don't break a sweat at the same time:) Then of course you have the typical winter driving problems: icy roads, blizzards and fog. Keeping all the wheels on the road is a common prayer on our journeys. So when were all in the van tonight what will you all be up too? Let me know your fun weekend plans!:) Love love love.. Erika home TUESDAY!:)
Jud 18:6 :)
"Go in peace," the priest replied. "For the LORD will go ahead of you on your journey."

Free to be me

Cause I got a couple dents in my fender
Got a couple rips in my jeans
Try to fit the pieces together
But perfection is my enemy
On my own I'm so clumsy
But on Your shoulders I can see
I'm free to be me

Love this song..it was on my mind today:)

Being Spiritually Fit*

For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.
1 Timothy 4:8
This verse popped out at me.  God is really reminding me of  what I am setting out to do with this Blog. He reminds me how yes it is good to be training everyday  to be physically fit for my life now, but  I also need to train everyday to be spiritually fit for my  life to come, my life with him. There are many similarities among the two.  It takes great dedication  to the sport and the  word. I also have  to continue to learn new ways to train and new ways to  bring the Lord closer to me. I find just reading the Bible to sometimes bog me down, but looking online or reading other books that have specific and unique lessons to be helpful and to bring ease into bringing what I read into my life. In the end  what makes you the strongest is training everyday. Having God in your life everyday, not only when things are tough should I pray to him, but  thanking him when he blesses me, telling him burdens on my heart. Praying to him everyday brings him closer into my life.    I hope that you all have  a great Tuesday:) ~Hannah Louisa

The art of a smile:)

A cheefrul look brings joy to the heart, and good news gives
 health to the bones.Proverbs 15:30
Its amazing how just a smile from someone can warm your heart. Not only does it make you smile right away, but you can't forget about that smile all day.
Smile at someone today:)

Snowy Sunday:)

Such a pretty morning:) We got a bunch of snow up here this weekend, perfect for skiing now:)
We have our first races this coming weekend up in Ironwood MI, it should be fun getting the season started. But I can already feel the anxiety that races bring. Its one of the things that I struggle with most. I am always a ball of nerves. The more years that I ski I feel the expectation to do better and better is even higher. But as I have heard from all of my coaches nerves are a good thing before a race, it get your blood pumping:) But I don't think God wants me to work myself up like this, thinking about races shouldn't freak me out.

I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.

This is what calms me this morning. I just have to keep reminding myself that God has given me the strength to do well in races for many years, and he is here for me now.
God doesn't give you things that you can't  handle whether or not its a race, anything in your life that troubles you, look to the Lord. He will calm your mind and bring you peace.

Such Encouragement!:)

Wow:) I am feeling the love in the Blog world. Thank you for being so encouraging!
Joshua 1:9-- Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.

My sister's boy friend Dan sent this to me today. I think it fits perfect in my life right now:) Today God was not only with me on my 7 am ski this morning but is with me now when I sit here writing to you. My first run at this..

Hello:) I am just going to jump right in. Today I went for a run in the blistering winter wind of December 1st! I am so excited for the Christmas season to be coming up, it is such a great time of year. The happiest thing for me this Christmas is my sister Erika will be home just in time from her Internship with EMI in Costa Rica. My sister is the person that inspired me to write this blog she reminds me everyday that I need to run with the Lord, and put all my faith in him. Erika has such a strong relationship with the Lord, and I see him working through her so much. I am really used to only looking to the Lord when there is something tough in my life, but I have been learning to put all my trust in him. He is making huge changes in my life, and I will admit its scary sometimes. I find myself struggling with my friends. I want to bring them all on this journey with me. But I have learned that God works with everyone differently, and all I can do is be there for people, be the friend that God wants me to be, and show each of them Gods love.

I hope you all are feeling the happiness of this time of year, even though the cold has set in:)
